I have been performing magic and making balloon animals for over 28 years in the Cedar Rapids area of Eastern Iowa, though my travel has allowed me to perform as far away as California, Florida, Ohio and other places.
Known for 8 years as "Mr. Mercy" the children's host of Mercy Medical center, in Cedar Rapids, I have appeared over 5000 times at area programs and events for the young people of the entire region. I have been entertaining area children since 1978. My programs are characterized by silliness, lots of laughter, pointing, shouting and audience participation. If you are not careful, you MAY actually learn something! Even adults enjoy the show!
My FIRST ever professional program was for a Kindergarten program where my daughter was a student. Two things make me very proud of my work. First, that I recently performed my program for my daughter's 3rd Grade class room. She is now the teacher. and that the SAME Kindergarten teacher that gave me my first opportunity to publicly perform still regularly calls on me to entertain her students. Many of my programs are repeats from year to year.
I also am available to perform amazing and fun balloon creations as a promotion or opening of a store, Mall or for special events such as trade shows or conventions. I also bring a few surprises when I arrive.
This is an example of what my program looks like, As you can see I am not a "traditional" black tie magician, I enjoy fun and silly things. On this occasion I was performing my famous "Professor's Nightmare" rope routine to a rapt audience of over 200 children at a book store for the release of a new "Harry Potter" book in 2005! I was asked to return to the SAME STORE in 2007 for the release of the "final" Harry Potter book.

Our rates are quite reasonable and we will willingly supply programs anywhere within a 50-100 mile (or more) radius of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. (mileage rates will apply outside the Cedar Rapids Metro area)
In 2006, Invisible Inc. has appeared yet again for The Rod and Custom Car Show in Monticello, IA. On a monthly basis during the summer of 2006 and 2007 I was at the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market, Where I was often called the most popular entertainer, as well as appearing for innumerable preschool and early childhood education programs, churches, Cub Scouts, company picnics and other family venues.

These photos were taken at the Downtown Farmers Market in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2007 they are pretty representative of my work as Papa Balloon when I am slinging balloons Above you can see the wonderful way that kids react to me and the kinds of balloons you can expect.

In the left photo, you can see one of my many "satisfied customers" and in the right you can see the style in which I arrive to most venues. On my Xtracycle! this is a fantastic addition to a standard bicycle that allows me to carry all my gear and arrive at a program with no parking hassle! I love bicycling and to me the Xtracycle has become an important tool of the trade!
These photos are of balloons that I did for events around Halloween 2007. The spider was for my grandchildren and the dragon was for my appearance at Barnes and Noble for the Puff the Magic Dragon book signing by the author, and composer of the song "Puff the Magic Dragon" Peter Yarrow!
The Photos above were taken at the Peter Yarrow book signing at Barnes and Noble in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Oct 25 2007. Mr. Yarrow did a 90 minute song set aimed at children and captivated 3 generations of people! there were at least 600 fans of his music and book there. I build a balloon Dragon that was 8 ft long and a 3 ft tall Peter Yarrow Caricature which I believe was well received by both the store and Peter himself. I also twisted up a few hundred balloons for small and large fans of the lilting music of Peter Paul and Mary, as done by Peter Yarrow. The highlight was when about 20 small children joined him on stage to sing "Puff the Magic Dragon"! It was a WONDERFUL event!
The appeal is not ONLY to "short people" either. Adults have just as much fun with the balloons as children do.

Recently I was simply waiting for my wife at a hairdresser and made a few balloons to pass the time and entertain myself, as much as the ladies working there. One customer, an elderly woman, was so excited that she gave me a big hug, RIGHT in front of Cindy! A nice person! I am quite fortunate that I can do this sort of thing and enjoy people of all kinds, ages and levels of experience. I believe that, like music, something like this transcends language, culture and beliefs. Entertainers have a responsibility to be entertainers FIRST, if we do not remember THAT SINGLE THING, we have failed as entertainers!
